N E Lincs technology taster with bytes to eat

Next week is national Get Online Week (October 13 – 19) celebrating digital inclusion around the UK.

And the council’s library service is offering information technology taster sessions with a twist, combining how to use computers with advice from experts on healthy eating.

Sessions will be running at Grimsby Library on Tuesday, October 14, from 10am to 12 noon and Waltham Library on Wednesday, October 15, from 2.30pm – 4.30pm and will include:

• Friendly advice on how to use a computer if you have never used one before
• Information about healthier eating from community nutrition educators
• Guidance on how to find recipes on the internet and which websites to use
• Advice about cooking on a budget
• How to reduce food waste

Sample some tasty recipes prepared by the Food For Fitness team and learn how to use the internet to create your own edible megabytes.

These are free informal drop-in sessions. No advance booking is required.
