N E Lincs Council want your views on proposed changes to concessionary travel on bus routes
North East Lincolnshire Council is asking local people for their views on proposed changes to the current Concessionary Travel Scheme on local bus routes.
Since April 2008 the council has provided free off-peak, local bus travel, to concessionary bus pass holders anywhere in England.
Currently pass holders are charged a 50p flat fare to travel before 9am between Monday and Friday. However, from Monday, 29 September, the council is looking to extend this until 9.30am for North East Lincolnshire concessionary pass holders. After 9.30am pass holders will continue to travel for free on locally registered bus services.
These changes will affect all concessionary bus pass holders, including senior citizens, disabled persons pass holders and companion pass holders.
If you would like to give your views on the proposed changes please contact the Council via:
The deadline for comments is Monday 8 September.
