Grimsby town centre traffic update: Town Hall Street

Works to improve the junction between Town Hall Street, Town Hall Square and East Street in Grimsby were carried out last night

The end of Town Hall Street is now a Give Way junction, allowing traffic to flow from Town Hall Square to East Street more freely.

North East Lincolnshire Council, working in partnership with Cofely, recently carried out a £6m redevelopment of Grimsby town centre with a number of improvements to encourage investment, create new jobs and improve access to public transport.

The junction was recently altered as part of these works when the traffic flow was reversed in the area. Traffic was previously given priority from Town Hall Street to Town Hall Square, but the council decided to reverse the changes at the junction following complaints from drivers.
