Free puppet show for children in N E Lincs

Children can discover the wonders of the sea in a free theatrical puppet event at the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre on Saturday, January 24

Lempen Puppet Theatre in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society is staging this event for children aged five and over, which includes puppetry, mask, story-telling and animation.

The Fisherman and the Pearl tells the story of a fisherman’s love and a previous gift that gives him knowledge of the creatures below the waves.

Showings take place at 11:30am and 2pm. Also free are fish making craft sessions at 10.30am before the first show and at 1pm before the second show.

The event is presented by Birdhouse and is supported by Lincs Inspire in conjunction with the latest Heritage Lottery Funded exhibition at the visitor attraction.
